You don’t need to break your bank to be 10 years younger
In a lot of people’s minds, the skincare industry is extremely profitable because a bottle of serum specially antiaging products can cost you more than half of the weekly wage. I have been promoting skincare and health products for a few years. Every time I talk to people, mainly women about skincare or antiaging then I always get the response: “It’s too expensive!”
So I find one of my tasks or my mission – finding some affordable and effective skincare products which are also make you looked much younger. This is absolutely possible. There are quite a lot of very good and inexpensive skincare products out there in the market. Here are those products which I tried or am still applying and the result I get is just the same as the expensive.
Facial Cleansing Products
Cleansing facial skin is the prime in skincare. If your skin is covered with dust or pores of the face are still blocked, no matter how good or how expensive products used it is just a waste.
Before you use any skincare products, you have to wash your face at least twice a day with good cleansing products – The OrdinarySqualane Cleanser ($25). Then you have to pat with toner on your face to balance pH value of your facial skin. I would like to recommend this product – Neutrogena Toner Alcohol-Free Cleanser ($5).
Both of these products are alcohol-free.

The way you wash your face is basically applying the cleanser on your face and moving the tip of your fingers softly around your eyes, nose & mouth and do not forget your neck.
Nutritionalising (Day & Night except Vitamin A or Retinol products)
After you thoroughly clean your face, it is time to feed your facial skin with nutrients and again massage your face softly to let your skin absorbing those nutrients. For the mature skin, the skincare products used will be good with vitamin A, C & E. The following products are quite effective & inexpensive at all.
The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension($24) or 20% Vitamin C Serum from All Nature Advice ($25)
Those products are supported with addition of dehydrated spheres Of hyaluronic acid to offer visible surface smoothing alongside. If you want to be looked younger, this product is a must to use. It is only less $25 (30ml) lasting for 3 months.
The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane ($24) (Do not use it at day time)
If you have mature skin, the above product is highly recommended to use every night before your sleep. Retinol products can increase cell turnover, which means dead cells are rapidly sloughed off and skin is left looking radiant and youthful. One point has to be mentioned: Retinol is one form of exfoliation so it will make your skin more sensitive to the sunlight during the daytime. So retinol products are not recommended to use during the day.
The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane ($20.90) (Do not use it at day time)
If you have more fine lines and wrinkles on face, you could try the above product with stronger retinol. Apply a few drops on your face every night before sleep, thoroughly and softly massage your face to let your skin absorb the retinol deeply. Again, do not use it at the day time. Otherwise, your skin will be peeling.
If you have sensitive skin, I suggest you could use very little of this product at the beginning and see if your skin have any reaction. If there isn’t, apply a little bit more and add more till your skin settle with this product.
The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA 100ml ($25) (Day & Night)
Keeping your skin hydrated and moisturised is the key to make your skin looked young. This product offers supplement of multiple amino acids, fatty acids, hyaluronic acid and other compounds that are naturally present in skin and it is not greasy at oil. This product is suitable for all ages.
The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% ($24.90)(Day & Night)
The above product is to reduce the appearance of pigmentation or puffiness which are the common problems of mature skin. You could try this product if you have such problems. The price is only $17.15/30 ml and the result is brilliant.
There is one secret to be share which can save you a lot of money spent on beauty salons. That is just use 1-2 minutes massage your face before sleep with this secret tool – facial roller. It is inexpensive but utterly useful!
Sunscreen ( Day time)
UV ray is the culprit to aging our skin. So never forget to apply sunscreen ($8) in the daytime if you don’t want yourself to look older than your actual age. Even though a lot of people work from home in the pandemic period. Sunscreens or any skincare products with SPF should be used in the day time.
Facial Mask ( 2 or 3 times a week)
Facial Masking is another important procedure if you want your skin to become younger quickly. Facial masks can relax our skin and helps all of your other skin care products work more efficiently. If you want your day lotions, serums and nighttime products to be absorbed by your skin quicker and deeper, then a face mask is a must. Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask ($12) and Swisse Swisse Hyaluro-Natural Intense Hydrating Mask 50ML ($10) are strongly recommended. Both the products are surely very affordable and you should be happy with the result.
The other important factors to make your skin at least 10 years younger:
- Good sleep for 7 to 8 hours a day.
- Avoid oily food and fast food.
- Drinking water up to 2L a day.
- Avoid too much alcohol and no smoking.
Summing up all of the above products, the cost is around $150- $200. All of those products can last for 3 to 4 months. Normally at this amount of money, you only can buy a bottle of serum as little as 30ml. But following my steps, you can make yourself look much younger with this amount of money. Starting to use them today with the above steps, your facial skin should be improved a lot and look at least ten younger within 3 – 4 months!
