Toongabbie

Toongabbie is one of the oldest suburbs in Sydney. Toongabbie is located 30 kilometers west of Sydney CBD and about 8 kilometers away from Parramatta which will be the second biggest city in NSW. It is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

I have lived in this suburb for quite a long period and found that is a quite convenient location. The most important is that there are still a lot of affordable properties comparing with other areas.

Affordability

There are still properties with lands under $1 million. Now a day, you could easily find a decent house with a big backyard under $900,000. That is a very good start for a young family. In the lowest interest rate time, Toongabbie is definitely a suburb worthy your consideration in terms of commuting, schools, shopping and recreations.

Transport

There is a train station in Toongabbie.  It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western and T5 Cumberland line services. It takes about 50 minutes from Toongabbie Station to Central Station in Sydney CBD. The train arrives averagely every 15 minutes or even every 5 minutes in the peak hour.

For the people who drive to work, Toongabbie is quite closed to the entrance of M2. It will be much quicker to go to the northbound of Sydney, such as Chatswood & Lane Cove.

Schools

There are two prestigious high schools in Toongabbie. They are Girraween High School, which is a selective school of NSW. The another one is Toongabbie Christian College  is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational day school.

Of course, there are other public schools & high schools that I will not mention one by one.

If you want to give your children an even better education, you could go a little bit further to more top schools, such as The King’s School, Tara Anglican School for Girls, James Ruse Agriculture High School, Baulkham Hills High School and Matthew Pearce Public School. All of those schools are within the 10-kilometer range from Toongabbie.

Shopping

There is a Woolworth in Toongabbie to meet your daily grocery needs. Also there are numerous stores to provide variety of foods.

One of biggest meat markets in NSW – Peddle Hill Meat Market is just a minute away from Toongabbie. A couple of Chicken Outlets are in Toongabbie too, such as Baiada Poultry & Cordina Poultry.

Medical Centers

There are a least three medical centers and at least two Diagnostic Pathologists in Toongabbie.

Recreation

There are plenty of sports fields, tennis courts and gyms. If walking is your favorite activity, there is a beautiful walking track for you called Settler Walk. A good place to have morning exercises or run or walk before sunset.

Pandemic has been given us enormous change to our life, one the other hand, the price of properties has been falling and the interest rate is keeping low. It will be a good chance to invest or purchase. Toongabbie should be the suburb worth your consideration.

If you are interest in purchase a property in this suburb, please message me because I have one to sell.
